Looking for an addiction recovery program you’ll be able to stick with? Cool. Let’s keep this simple and answer the questions we get asked the most about our addiction recovery program Sonoma County. From how to get in, to what life looks like day to day in a structured, peer-supported house.
What Does “Structured, Peer-Supported Living” Mean?
Here’s the short version: clear house rules + guys who’ve got each other’s back.
- Shared chores so the place stays clean and calm.
- Curfews/check-ins so nights don’t go sideways.
- Meeting commitments so recovery isn’t a someday thing.
- A place where everyone’s growth matters. Not fake. Not forced. Just consistent.
Who’s a Good Fit and How Selective Are You?
We’re selective. We welcome men who want a real reset, are willing to show up, and can be respectful roommates. Faith or no faith, it’s about action. If the commitment’s real, we’re interested. If not, we’re not.
How Do Admissions Work?
Easy first step: call our Men’s Help team at (369) 210-7141. We talk goals, timing, what you need, and whether our setup is the right match. If it’s go-time, we’ll cover what to bring, move-in timing, and day-one expectations. No pressure.
How Long Do People Usually Stay?
Length of stay depends on progress, stability, and what life’s throwing at you. We encourage staying long enough to build routines that stick, so you aren’t managing everything alone.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Mornings: Quick chores, personal routine, set the tone.
- Daytime: Work, job search, school, or service. We encourage structure that actually fills the day.
- Evenings: Meetings (a lot at first), sponsor calls, house check-ins, lights-out at reasonable times.
- Weekends: Recovery first, but still time for hikes, sports, coffee with sober friends. Fun is allowed and encouraged!
How Much Does It Cost?
Rates vary by room and timing. What matters: we’re a mission-driven program, and resources go back into residents and the houses.
Translation = safety, support, and a clean, steady environment come first.
We’ll walk through exact numbers on the call, plus what to budget for food, transportation, and meetings
What Support Systems Are There?
- Peer community: Guys who show up for each other. Ride shares, reminders, honest conversations.
- Meeting network: Tons of AA/NA options all over the county, morning to night.
- Accountability: Curfews, check-ins, chore charts, house agreements; so the day doesn’t drift.
- Purpose & fun: Service commitments, alumni connections, and yes, some normal life (sports, jokes, good meals). Recovery is hard but it isn’t a punishment.
I’m Not Religious or Spiritual, Can I Still Join?
All good. We welcome men regardless of belief or lack thereof, so long as the commitment to recovery and mutual support is real.
